"The salon was not a dream of mine, per se… I was behind the chair for over 20 years, building relationships, being part of milestones, and providing “good” hair to my guests. After working in different salons in both big and small cities, I realized that I wasn’t finished. Since my boys were getting older and more independent, I was finally in a position where I could focus on what was missing, and I wanted more! I felt that the industry around me was getting way too comfortable and not commission-based. Teaching salons were now a dime a dozen. If I were going to do anything, it had to be BIG! I wanted to provide a diverse team of like-minded artists in the small town of Evansville, IN. I wanted to give guests top-notch services in a trendy feel-good environment. The salon & spa has a culture that is evolving, and education is vital for both staff and clients. Mentoring and empowering others is so fulfilling, and watching my team grow, is my passion. Confidence comes when you put in the work, and quality services come from that work."
